On behalf of H.E President Mahmoud Abbas, Ambassador Rula Almhaissen handed out the National Certificate of Honor for Academic Diplomacy in Support of Palestinian Rights Award to Swedish journalist Ms. Lena Fredriksson at the Embassy’s premises in Stockholm. The Ambassador congratulated and commended Ms. Fredriksson’s support and advocacy for Palestine and emphasized the significance of her work in raising awareness and promoting justice.

The award was announced during the International Academic Campaign’s Award Ceremony on 04/12/2022, which was organized under the auspices of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas. The ceremony recognized the contributions of international supporters and advocates of the just cause of Palestine, and Ms. Fredriksson was selected as one of the distinguished awardees.

The Embassy of the State of Palestine extends its congratulations to Ms. Fredriksson and expresses its gratitude for her unwavering support and outstanding contribution to the cause of Palestine and its people. Her recognition is a testament to the important role that journalists and advocates play in amplifying the voices of the oppressed Palestinians who have been under an ongoing Israeli occupation for the last 75 years.
