شاركت سفيرة دولة فلسطين لدى مملكة السويد رولا المحيسن بالأمس الموافق 9 نوفمبر/ تشرين ثاني 2023 في اجتماع مع وزير الخارجية السويدي توبياس بيلستروم وعدد من المسؤولين السويديين في الوزارة، تم التنسيق له وطلبه بإسم مجموعة سفراء منظمة التعاون الإسلامي المعتمدين لدى مملكة السويد لبحث موقف الحكومة السويدية من الحرب الإسرائيلية على شعبنا في قطاع غزة وكافة الجرائم والإنتهاكات للقانون الدولي والقانون الإنساني الدولي التي ترتكبها قوة الإحتلال الإسرائيلية ضد شعبنا في كافة الأراضي الفلسطينية.
وقامت السفيرة المحيسن بمطالبة الحكومة السويدية بمراجعة موقفها الذي لا يخدم الحقوق الفلسطينية المشروعة وعلى رأسها حق تقرير المصير وإنهاء الإحتلال الإسرائيلي؛ خاصة بعد امتناعها عن التصويت على قرار الأمم المتحدة الخاص بوقف إطلاق النار على قطاع غزة وبعد قرار تجميد المساعدات السويدية للشعب الفلسطيني؛ مع التأكيد على تقدير الشعب الفلسطيني للمساعدات الإنسانية السويدية المرصودة لأهلنا في قطاع غزة.
كما أكد كل من سفراء المملكة العربية السعودية، الجمهورية اللبنانية، جمهورية مصر العربية، جمهورية اندونيسيا، الجمهورية التركية، دولة قطر والجمهورية التونسية في كلماتهم على الموقف العربي الداعم لعدالة القضية الفلسطينية وللموقف الفلسطيني.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن مجموعة سفراء منظمة التعاون الإسلامي لدى ستوكهولم قدمت خطاباً للوزير بيلستروم قبل الإجتماع مؤكداً لموقف منظمة التعاون الإسلامي. وقد تم إعداده بالتنسيق مع السفيرة المحيسن.
ويأتي هذا الإجتماع ضمن سلسلة إجتماعات عقدتها السفيرة المحيسن مع المسؤولين في وزارة الخارجية السويدية؛ علماً أنه تم تحديد عقد إجتماعات أخرى مع الخارجية السويدية وبالتنسيق مع مجموعاتٍ للسفراء المعتمدين لدى ستوكهولم.
On November 9, 2023, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Sweden, Rula Almhaissen, participated in a meeting with the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Tobias Billström, and several Swedish officials at the ministry. The meeting was coordinated and requested on behalf of the group of ambassadors from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation accredited to the Kingdom of Sweden to discuss the Swedish government’s stance on the Israeli war against our people in Gaza and all the crimes and violations of international law and international humanitarian law committed by the Israeli occupation forces against our people in all Palestinian territories.
Ambassador Almhaissen urged the Swedish government to review its position, which does not serve the legitimate Palestinian rights, including the right to self-determination and an end to the Israeli occupation. This call came, especially after Sweden abstained from voting on the United Nations resolution for a ceasefire in Gaza and decided to freeze Swedish developmental aid to the Palestinian people. Meanwhile, Ambassador Almhaissen emphasized the Palestinian people’s appreciation for the Swedish humanitarian assistance earmarked for our brothers and sisters in Gaza.
The Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Lebanese Republic, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Turkey, the State of Qatar and the Republic of Tunisia also affirmed, in their statements, the Arab position supporting the justice of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian stance.
It is worth noting that the group of ambassadors from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Stockholm had submitted a letter to Minister Billström before the meeting, affirming the organization’s position. This letter was prepared in coordination with Ambassador Almhaissen.
This meeting is part of a series of meetings held by Ambassador Almhaissen with officials in the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Other meetings with the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been scheduled in coordination with groups of accredited ambassadors in Stockholm.
