H.E. Ms. Rula Almhaissen had the honor of meeting His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, the Secretary-General of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Sweden for formal consultations, during which the Palestinian issue was a central focus.

In the meeting, they discussed the repercussions of the ongoing genocide by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, their continued escalating aggression, and violations of international laws in the West Bank. Also discussed the sisterly State of Qatar’s support for an immediate ceasefire, the entry of urgent humanitarian aid into Gaza, and their valuable mediation efforts.

The Palestinian people’s appreciation for these efforts was emphasized, acknowledging the significant role of Secretary-General Al Hammadi in influencing Sweden’s stance in meetings with Swedish officials.

The meeting took place in the company of Her Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Stockholm, Mrs. Nadya bint Ahmed Al Shaibi, His Excellency Mr. Saud bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, the Director of European Affairs Department at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with the accompanying delegation.
