اجتمعت سفيرة دولة فلسطين لدى السويد، رولا المحيسن، مع رئيس معهد ستوكهولم الدولي لأبحاث السلام (SIPRI) ورئيس الوزراء السويدي السابق، ستيفان لوفين(2021-2014) ، لبحث تطورات الأوضاع في غزة ودور المجتمع الدولي في التعامل معها.
خلال اللقاء، تم تسليط الضوء على الإبادة المستمرة في غزة، وتصعيد الانتهاكات في الضفة الغربية، مع التأكيد على ضرورة تدخل المجتمع الدولي، خاصة الاتحاد الأوروبي، للضغط على إسرائيل لوقف العدوان وضمان وصول المساعدات الإنسانية وإنهاء الإحتلال الإسرائيلي.
كما تم التطرق إلى الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية الممنهجة للقانون الدولي والإنساني في الضفة الغربية والقدس، مع التأكيد على أهمية دعم الأنروا.
من جانبه، أعرب لوفين عن قلقه العميق إزاء الوضع الراهن، مؤكدًا على ضرورة تطبيق حل الدولتين لتحقيق السلام العادل والشامل.
Palestinian Ambassador Discusses Developments in Palestine with Former Prime Minister Stefan Löfven
Stockholm, April 7, 2025
The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Sweden, Rula Almhaissen, met with the Chair of the Governing Board of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and former Swedish Prime Minister (2014-2021), Stefan Löfven, to discuss the developments in Gaza and the role of the international community in addressing the situation and ending the Israeli occupation.
During the meeting, the ongoing genocide in Gaza was highlighted, and the escalation of violations in the West Bank, with a call for international intervention, particularly from the European Union, to pressure Israel to stop its aggression and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The discussion also touched on Israel’s systematic violations of international and humanitarian law in the West Bank and Jerusalem, with an emphasis on the importance of supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
For his part, Löfven expressed deep concern over the current situation, stressing the need to implement the two-state solution to achieve a just and comprehensive peace.
