شاركت السفيرة رولا المحيسن سفيرة دولة فلسطين لدى مملكة السويد، في فعاليات مهرجان الفيلم الفلسطيني للدول الإسكندنافية (NPFF) الثاني، والذي عقد في العاصمة ستوكهولم بعد أن جاب مختلف مدن المملكة؛ وذلك بحضور عدد من السفراء المعتمدين لدى ستوكهولم، و متضامنين سويديين ومن مختلف الجاليات، مع القضية الفلسطينية وبمشاركة الجالية الفلسطينية.
ألقت السفيرة المحيسن كلمةً أكدت فيها على أهمية الفعاليات الثقافية الفلسطينية مثل هذا المهرجان في إيصال الرواية الفلسطينية والتعريف بالقضية والحقوق الفلسطينية وما تمارسه قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي غير القانوني من إبادة وانتهاكات مخالفة للقانون الدولي والقانون الإنساني الدولي.
كما أكدت على أهمية المهرجان كحدث ثقافي على مستوى دول شمال أوروبا، يستحق الوصول للعالمية؛ مشيدةً بجهود مؤسسة ومدير عام المهرجان المخرجة وفاء جميل.
تخلل الفعالية عروضاً فنية وعرض فيلم “حالة عشق”، كما تم تكريم الفنان الفلسطيني باسل زايد و المتضامنين السويديين : Göran Olsson و Mattias Gardell
مع التقدير لجهود المخرجة وفاء جميل.
Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Sweden, Rula Almhaissen, participated in the opening of the 2nd Nordic Palestinian Film Festival (NPFF) in Stockholm, following its tour across several cities in the country. The event was attended by numerous accredited ambassadors in Stockholm, along with Swedish and international supporters of the Palestinian cause, and members of the Palestinian community.
In her speech, Ambassador Almhaissen underscored the vital role of Palestinian cultural events – such as this festival – in conveying the Palestinian narrative, raising awareness of Palestinian rights, and exposing the ongoing acts of genocide and violations committed by Israeli occupation forces, in breach of international and humanitarian law.
She further highlighted the significance of the festival as a prominent cultural event in the Nordic region, deserving of international recognition, and commended the efforts of its founder and general director, filmmaker Wafa Jamil.
The program featured artistic performances and a screening of the film State of Passion, and Palestinian artist Basil Zayed and Swedish supporters Göran Olsson and Mattias Gardell.
