قدمت السفيرة رولا المحيسن واجب العزاء في صديق فلسطين الكاتب بيرنت جونسون، حيث ألقت كلمة وداعٍ في مراسم الجنازة، في مدينة أوبسالا، أعربت فيها عن تقدير الشعب الفلسطيني للتضامن والمواقف العادلة التي تبناها بيرنت دعماً للقضية الفلسطينية وأكدت أن أثره سيبقى حاضرًا في مسيرة النضال الفلسطيني وأن الشعب الفلسطيني يبقى وفياً لأصدقائه.
ووضعت شال الكوفية الفلسطينية إلى جانب ورود وأزهار المعزين.
Ambassador Rula Almhaissen offered her condolences for the death of Palestinian friend and writer Bernt Johnson. She delivered a farewell speech at the funeral in Uppsala, expressing the Palestinian people’s appreciation for Bernt’s solidarity and just stances in support of the Palestinian cause. She emphasized that his influence will remain present in the Palestinian struggle and that the Palestinian people remain faithful to their friends.
The Ambassador had placed the Palestinian keffiyeh scarf earlier beside the flowers and bouquets brought by the mourners.
