أحيت سفارة دولة فلسطين لدى مملكة السويد الذكرى ال 77 للنكبة، باستضافة البروفيسور القس د. متري الراهب في ندوة بعنوان: “المعاناة الفلسطينية: التهجير والتطهير العرقي الإسرائيلي من النكبة إلى الإبادة الجماعية”؛ وذلك بحضور عدد من السفراء والدبلوماسيين المعتمدين لدى ستوكهولم وممثلي عن الجالية الفلسطينية، يوم الخميس الموافق 15 أيار/مايو 2025.
افتتحت الندوة بكلمةٍ للسفيرة رولا المحيسن أكدت من خلالها على استمرار معاناة الشعب الفلسطيني منذ 77 عاماً من النكبة وأكثر، مروراً بالحروب والحصار والإبادة الجماعية المستمرة في غزة، والانتهاكات في الضفة الغربية، مع التشديد على حق العودة وإقامة الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة ورفض سياسات التهجير والتطهير العرقي ورفض استبدال أو تقويض دور الأونروا؛ مؤكدةً على مسؤولية المجتمع الدولي لوقف هذه المعاناة وفرض العقاب والمحاسبة ونيل شعبنا الفلسطيني حقوقه كافة وإنهاء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.
تلاها محاضرة قدمها القس د.متري الراهب عن الوضع الحالي في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة حيث تطرق إلى الإبادة الجماعية في غزة وتدمير الجامعات والمدارس والمستشفيات، وبما فيها الإبادة الثقافية في محاولة إسرائيلية لمحو الذاكرة الفلسطينية، بالإضافة إلى ما يحدث في الضفة الغربية من ضم للأراضي وبناء المستوطنات وتدمير المخيمات للقضاء على قضية اللاجئين.
ومن ثم وصف القس د.الراهب الوضع ضمن مفهوم الاستيطان الإحلالي والذي يقضي بالاستحواذ على الجغرافيا وطرد الديموغرافيا الفلسطينية؛ موضحاً أن هذا هو الانحطاط الصهيوني منذ اليوم الأول وإن كان ينفذ على مراحل. وتطرق إلى خطورة هذا المشروع الثبوتي ليس على الفلسطينيين فحسب بل على المنطقة بأكملها والعالم؛ داعياً إلى وقفٍ فوري للعدوان وإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية واستراتيجية لإعادة إعمار غزة والاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية وإنهاء الاحتلال الاسرائيلي ومحاسبته على جرائمه ضد الإنسانية.

The Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Kingdom of Sweden commemorated the 77th anniversary of the Nakba by hosting Reverend Professor Dr. Mitri Raheb in a seminar titled “The Palestinian Plight: Israeli Forced Displacement and Ethnic Cleansing from the Nakba to Genocide.” The event, held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, was attended by several ambassadors and accredited diplomats in Stockholm, in addition to representatives of the Palestinian community.
The seminar opened with a speech by Ambassador Rula Almhaissen, who underscored the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people for more than 77 years since the Nakba and beyond – characterized by wars, blockades, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, as well as violations in the West Bank. She reaffirmed the right of return and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, firmly rejecting all forms of forced displacement, ethnic cleansing, and any efforts to replace or undermine the role of UNRWA. Ambassador Almhaissen emphasized the responsibility of the international community to end this suffering, uphold accountability, impose sanctions, and ensure that the Palestinian people achieve their full rights and that the Israeli occupation is brought to an end.
Reverend Dr. Raheb then delivered a lecture on the current situation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, addressing the genocide in Gaza and the systematic destruction of universities, schools, and hospitals – acts he described as cultural genocide, reflecting an Israeli attempt to erase Palestinian collective memory. He also highlighted developments in the West Bank, including land annexation, the expansion of settlements, and the demolition of refugee camps – all aimed at dismantling the Palestinian refugee issue.
Reverend Dr. Raheb then described the situation within the framework of settler-colonialism, which seeks to seize geography and expel Palestinian demography. He emphasized that this has been the essence of Zionist decline since the very beginning, even if implemented in stages. He also addressed the dangers of this entrenchment project, not only for Palestinians but for the entire region and the world. He called for an immediate halt to the aggression, the entry of humanitarian aid, a strategy for Gaza’s reconstruction, recognition of the Palestinian state, an end to Israeli occupation, and holding Israel accountable for its crimes against humanity.
The seminar was accompanied by a televised presentation featuring a collection of photographs depicting the suffering of the Palestinian people during the Nakba, alongside contemporary images of the ongoing genocide, works by photographers Ibrahim Al-Nawajaa and Nabil Diab.
