أحيت سفارة دولة فلسطين لدى ستوكهولم فعالية مميزة في مقرها بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للتضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني، بحضور مدير عام ورئيس قسم الشؤون الدولية-وزارة الخارجية السويدية، ميكايل ليندفال، وعدد من الوزراء السابقين من الحزب الاشتراكي الديمقراطي، ورئيسي حزب اليسار وحزب البيئة، ورؤساء بعثات عربية وأجنبية، وبرلمانيين سويديين إلى جانب ممثلين عن المنظمات الدولية والمنظمات المناصرة وشخصيات عامة وسياسية وباستضافة رئيس لجنة الدفاع في البرلمان السويدي ووزير الدفاع السابق، بيتر هولتكوِست (عن الحزب الاشتراكي الديمقراطي) كضيف متحدث. وتخللت الفعالية إقامة معرض صور عكست واقع معاناة شعبنا وفداحة إجرام حرب الإبادة.

وفي كلمتها، أكدت السفيرة المحيسن على أن اليوم العالمي للتضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني ليس مناسبةً للاحتفال، بل تذكيرٌ متجددٌ بالظلم التاريخي المستمر. وأكدت على ضرورة نقل التضامن من الخطابات إلى الإرادة السياسية الفاعلة التي تفضي إلى حل سياسي عادل ينهي الاحتلال الإسرائيلي ويكفل حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني المشروعة غير القابلة للتصرف، وفي مقدمتها حق تقرير المصير، وتجسيد الدولة الفلسطينية، وحق العودة وتحقيق العدالة والمساءلة، مع المطالبة بتنفيذ الإلتزامات المترتبة على الاعترافات الأخيرة لترجمة ذلك والبناء على الزخم التضامني الدولي والشعبي.

وطالبت السفيرة في كلمتها بدعم تثبيت وقف دائم لإطلاق النار بعد وقف الإبادة، وإنهاء الجرائم الممنهجة من قتل وتجويع وتدمير وتهجير ووقف عنف المستوطنين والاعتقالات والتعذيب. وبرفع الحصار، ووقف سياسات الضم والفصل العنصري وإعادة الربط الكامل بين الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة، ودعم عقد الانتخابات الفلسطينية ورفض أي ترتيبات سياسية تتجاوز الإرادة والتمثيل الفلسطيني وإنهاء الاحتلال غير القانوني والمحاسبة على الجرائم، ودعم العدالة الدولية وحماية عمل المحاكم الدولية.

كما أثنت السفيرة على العلاقة التاريخية التي تربط السويد بفلسطين، وقرار اعترافها قبل 11 عاماً؛ مثمنةً دور السويد في تقديم المساعدات الإنسانية والدعوة لتسهيل وصولها ودعمها لفرض العقوبات على المستوطنين والمتطرفين السياسيين؛ داعيةً الحكومة السويدية إلى وقف كل أشكال التعاون مع المستوطنات، ووقف استيراد منتجاتها، استئناف الدعم المالي والسياسي الكامل لوكالة الأونروا، باعتبارها مؤسسة أممية حيوية تخدم ملايين اللاجئين الفلسطينيين، مع التأكيد على أن حل قضية اللاجئين، وفق القانون الدولي، هو شرط أساسي لأي تسوية عادلة.

في كلمته، انتقد هولتكفست التباطؤ الدولي في التعامل مع القضية الفلسطينية، وعبر عن فخره بأن السويد كانت أول دولة في الاتحاد الأوروبي تعترف بدولة فلسطين عام 2014، مشيراً إلى أن دولاً أخرى داخل الاتحاد الأوروبي وخارجه سارت على هذا النهج، “لكن ذلك يحدث ببطء شديد، والعالم لم يتحرك بالسرعة الكافية”. وتحدث عن تصاعد عنف المستوطنين في فلسطين. وذكر أن الفلسطينيين “يُحاكَمون دائمًا بطريقة مختلفة عن الآخرين”، وأن هذا التمييز المستمر يفاقم الظلم ويسهم في إدامة الصراع.

وأكد هولتكوِست أن الاحتلال المستمر يمثل جوهر الأزمة، وأن الاستقرار لن يتحقق إلا عبر حل الدولتين، محذرًا من أن غياب الإرادة السياسية الحقيقية يُبقي المنطقة في حالة دائمة من الألم والمعاناة.

شاركت السفيرة رولا المحيسن في فعالية لإحياء اليوم العالمي للتضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني عقدتها جمعية أصدقاء فلسطين في مدينة فستروس، بحضور عدد من المسؤولين والمتضامنين السويديين ومن أبناء الجالية الفلسطينية.

The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Stockholm held an event at its premises on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. The event was attended by the Director-General and Head of the Global Affairs Department at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mikael Lindvall; a number of former ministers from the Social Democratic Party; the leaders of the Left Party and the Green Party; heads of Arab and foreign missions; members of Parliament, and representatives of international and pro-Palestine organizations; as well as public and political figures. The guest speaker was Mr. Peter Hultqvist, Chairman of the Defence Committee in the Swedish Parliament and former Minister of Defence (from the Social Democratic Party). The event also included a photo exhibition illustrating the reality of our people’s suffering and the brutality of the genocide in Gaza.

In her address, Ambassador Almhaissen stressed that the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is not a celebration, but a renewed reminder of an ongoing historical injustice. She underscored the need to move from expressions of solidarity to genuine political will that leads to a just political solution ending the Israeli occupation and guaranteeing the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights, foremost among them the right to self-determination, the establishment of the State of Palestine, the right of return, and the pursuit of justice and accountability. She also called for implementing the obligations arising from recent recognitions, in order to translate them into concrete action and build on the global and popular momentum of solidarity.

The Ambassador called for supporting the establishment of a permanent ceasefire following the halt of the genocide; ending systematic crimes of killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement; stopping settler violence, arrests, and torture; lifting the blockade; ending annexation and apartheid policies; restoring full territorial continuity between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip; supporting the holding of Palestinian elections; rejecting any political arrangements that bypass Palestinian will and representation; ending the unlawful occupation; ensuring accountability for crimes committed; and supporting international justice and the protection of international courts.

She also commended the historic relationship between Sweden and Palestine and Sweden’s decision to recognize Palestine eleven years ago. She praised Sweden’s role in providing humanitarian aid, advocating for its unhindered delivery, and supporting sanctions against settlers and extremist political actors. She urged the Swedish government to end all forms of cooperation with settlements, cease the import of settlement products, and resume full political and financial support to UNRWA, as a vital UN agency serving millions of Palestinian refugees, emphasizing that resolving the refugee issue, in accordance with international law, is essential for any just settlement.

In his remarks, Hultqvist criticized the international community’s slow response to the Palestinian issue and expressed pride that Sweden was the first country in the European Union to recognize the State of Palestine in 2014. He noted that other countries within and outside the EU have since followed this path, “but it is happening far too slowly, and the world has not acted with the necessary urgency.” He also spoke about the escalating settler violence in Palestine, stating that Palestinians “are always judged by a different standard than others,” and that this persistent discrimination deepens injustice and contributes to perpetuating the conflict.

Hultqvist emphasized that the ongoing occupation lies at the heart of the crisis and that stability cannot be achieved without a two-state solution, warning that the absence of genuine political will keeps the region trapped in continuous pain and suffering.

Ambassador Rula Almhaissen also took part in an event marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People organized by the Palestine Friendship Association in the city of Västerås, attended by Swedish officials, supporters, and members of the Palestinian community.
